At Turning Point, we appreciate the significant responsibility in introducing a new exercise device and the possible biophysical
impacts of its use. With the potential for widespread market adoption, we’ve invested the additional time and capital in rigorous
independent testing of the Core Trainer.
Testing is being conducted at universities, hospitals/clinics and with for-profit companies that have expertise in the currently
identified market segments of golf, physical therapy/rehabilitation and general exercise. Not all of these organizations can be
identified, but the following are representative examples:
The Golf Performance Center, Ridgefield, CT and Averett University are both testing the protocols and benefits of the Core Trainer
for golf. The Golf Performance Center is a leading-edge golf training facility that emphasizes physical training and conditioning
equally with technique. Averett University won a past Division 3 NCAA golf championship and is eager to evaluate tools that may
help them repeat their success.
Within the physical therapy/rehabilitation field, Cleveland Clinic will evaluate the Core Trainer. Cleveland Clinic, recognized as
one of the world’s best hospitals, is currently determining which specific potential Core Trainer applications it will study in
detail.
Within the general exercise area, both the University of Utah and the University of Toledo are also committed to rigorous testing.
Additional organizations are also testing the trainer and, as new applications such as tennis are confirmed, appropriate tests
will be put in place.
The Advisory Board and Turning Point's
Management Team will evaluate the test results and recommend additional refinements to the equipment. As appropriate, these learnings will be added to the News & Test Results section of this website. |
